My configurations for digital restorations

One of my major hobbies is digitizing vinyl records to the digital format, usually FLAC as they sound superior to my semi-working cloth ears. I’ve undertaken this task for many years, almost two decades! Over that period in time I’ve honed in on the configurations that work for me.

Because my memory is like a sieve I can never remember the arrangement of each of its functional units, mainly my computer settings for digital speakers and the 3.5mm line-in jack to the soundcard.

This is the reason for these primitive photos. Next time I buy a new hard drive I’ll be up and running again in no time just as long as I can load my necessary iZotope RX7 and Sound Forge Audio Studio onto a new system without it being a drag. I long for a hassle free existence.
